Hi! Warning: this description is really unnecessarily long and very cheesy. It's kind of a love letter to two of my favorite SOSC characters and their respective creators- Markus, by @OceanPerson , and Eraser Cap, by @DatCat11 . The music is Chonny Jash's cover of Variations on a Cloud! (Edit: oh my god it butchered the quality so there's no highest voice. I'm so sorry) There are multiple images that will cycle automatically to the music, but you can click the characters or press space to mute the song and go through them manually (a next button will show up when you do this)! ~~~~~Image 1: Vanilla~~~~~ Markus is from Title Pending, and I always imagined him as Irish, but I'm American so take that with a grain of salt I might just have misread some slang. I don't know why I immediately fell in love with him, honestly- but he's sort of a well-rounded everyman, isn't he? He's cool, but not rude or egotistical or even super stoic about it. He's just Markus, a shoulder to lean on, a guy who likes sunglasses! (He also seems like he could mesh well with a lot of different personalities, which probably makes him fun to write.) There's not much else to say! I just love him. Eraser Cap... my love for her runs a little deeper, even though she has so much less screen time. I guess I mostly love her for her potential, actually- what she could be, because there are so many ways she could matter to her host's story. Her wiki page on fanonpedia says she's cheerful- but how would she react to Blue's temper tantrum that destroyed their would? Would she be his right-hand lady, or oppose him entirely? A villain, a hero, or somewhere in between? Is she dead or alive, maybe depending on how close she and Blue were? What would her opinion on Mustard be? Whatever she turns out to be- if she shows up at all- I hope she still stays cheerful. ~~~~~Image 2: Iced Red Velvet~~~~~ ...now what would happen if that friendly everyman were to kill? Sorry, yeah, we're in AU territory now; that's how I show I love a character! Anyway, if you know what Third Life is, that's essentially what happened- a game where everyone has three lives, and the less you have, the more you're willing to kill! Markus, well... he won, and the bloodlust gained upon having one life left- "on Red", so to speak- just never really went away, since he never died that one last time. At this point in SSOU (the AU), he's struggling to keep it at bay. Eraser Cap, meanwhile... well, this AU is why I originally found her in the first place. It's called Co-Host Ronpa, and I think you can guess why I ended up finding her. Hers is a tragic story here; the protagonist support, naive and trusting because she knew nobody else there, the only one to properly befriend Evil Computer, and tricked by Lock to a point when she finally died. The whole thing was a simulation, of course- but it was unplugged before she could wake up, leaving her truly lost forever. ~~~~~Image 3: Peppermint Chocolate~~~~~ This Markus is actually a continuation of the one in Iced Red Velvet- he's since learned to deal with what he's been given, and twisted it into heroism. Of course, this was partly because he /had/ to, but that doesn't change the fact that he was able to grow alongside what he was given and was even rewarded for his heroic act. (...yeah, I creature-fied him... I can't help myself, it's way too fun!) He's grown close with the other people he fought with, too, and even with the people he's killed within Third Life. Ironically enough, he's actually more like his canon/base self here- chill and easy-going, just with a bit of an edge to him that wasn't there before. On a different note, this Eraser Cap is based on the other possible side of her- if she followed in Blue's footsteps and went full villain. It's more obvious in the cover due to being more similar to a very iconic thing, but in this spinoff of Co-Host Ronpa, she's the one who /masterminded/ the whole thing. If her show couldn't have a happy host or co-host, maybe making other ones miserable for the (in her opinion) undeserved attention that could have saved her show. And maybe she would even be making Blue proud (but would he be?). ~~~~~Ending Notes~~~~~ I don't know what I should say here, honestly- you've already seen all my thoughts on this. I guess thank you for creating characters that I could so easily fall in love with, and I hope you enjoyed seeing my insanity and my art. I spent way too long on the thumbnail, too- Chonny Jash now has me in a chokehold, oops... I hope that you enjoyed!
