♦︎ Lonely ♦︎ Take the star dust. Make a wish. It was as simple as that. So why couldn't Sam do it? She knew her wish, but as star dust floated softly from one hand to the other, she began to question it. What did she really, really want? A home, she thought. Somewhere to belong. A feeling a safety among people who actually cared. A feeling she had forgotten. Make the wish. But, just before she blurted it out, she stopped herself. Why should she need a magic wish for something she could've done a long time ago? She pushed those thoughts away and threw the sparking star dust into the air. Sam wished. She wished from the deepest part if her soul, only to realize that her soul hadn't wished for a place to belong. The world shook, and Sam felt she had been scammed. The wish didn't work. Some fairy godmother, Sam thought, hiding under her bed as the ground continued to rumble. The worst part of all? She had no idea what she had just wished for. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry that was kinda short. . . I'm a little low on inspiration rn so I've just kinda been writing short parts of whole stories. I hope you liked it!
