Instructions

Welcome to Spanish Class 1! This is only for those who are students (if you’ aren’t one, go here and sign up: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/35660216/comments/) Soooooooo…um…this is…Spanish class? We don’t like waiting for introductions and stuff so let’s start: 1) translators are banned without my permission 2) remix and answer 3) no asking people what words mean unless it’s a helper or me. 4) while answering questions do not cheat! 5) let’s start or else Spanish class: So we’ll learn how to say ‘do you like apples or cherries?’ and then, ‘I like cherries’ or ‘I like apples’ then we’ll do a fun activity where we come up with our own. So, basic example: ‘¿Te gustan las manzanas o las cerezas?‘ that means ‘Do you like cherries or apples?’ Then you answer by saying ‘ Me gustan las cerezas’ which means ‘I like cherries’ or ‘Me gustan las manzanas’ which means, ‘I like apples’ Always remember that if your using an exclamation mark, put the upside down exclamation mark at the start, and the normal one at the end. When using quotation marks, some Spanish people use a different kind of mark. If you are on a computer this won’t matter to you. If using a question, type the upside down question mark, then at the end, the normal one. Here is an example of exclamation marks: ‘¡Hola!’ And questions are ‘¿Te gusta esto?’ And quotation is ‘«¡Hola!» Now we can play a game! It is called ‘Ese o Esto’ which means, ‘this or that?’ To play, all you need to say is ‘Do you like-?’ Then any object, then ‘or-‘ and another. Then we decide and say which we like. If you don’t know any object in spanish ask me and I can help! Remember, remix and write answers. Delete all of this when you remix, though. And write your ‘¿Ese o Esto?’ in and say either ‘I fully understood this lesson!’ Which in Spanish is ‘ ¡Entendí completamente esta lección!’ (please write it in Spanish) or, ‘I did not understand this lesson’ which in Spanish is ‘ No entendí esta lección’ which you also write in Spanish. Today’s challenge: translate this! ‘ ¿Fue buena la clase de español? ¡Por favor, dímelo! ’ Thank You!
