This all takes place after a Swapswapfell neutral where asgore is killed. Sans has a hole in his head and a crack becuase of the neutral. He wears a hat in Ald becuase Papyrus made him look royal. Legendary Deal: After Asgore is killed Undyne is elected to be the Queen and Papyrus is chosen to be her butler. The underground was split into 2, the believers and the non-believers. The believers believed that The Angel would come and bless them with an escape. The non-believers didn't believe in that would happen and had a burning hatred for humans. Gaster manipulates Sans into believing. (his eye turned purple because of this.) He gets killed by Undyne for believing. This made all the other believers become more secretive. Once Sans died he was blessed by The Angel with a new life. At the cost of half of his soul to be Possessed by Spamton who died from a snowgrave route. Sans is let go from Gaster's grasp because of this. Even though he still believes in The Angel he doesn't believe they will set monsterkind free.
