ok hi the era 1 map yall voted for is here #4 fish in a birdcage by fish in a birdcage won suggested by @Aurora_B0Realist ----- this map is a wee bit different than most scratch maps PLZ READ ALL OF IT plz its important i dont want you guys to not be eligible because you skipped over my yapping (and if you know my projects you know how i yap but you also know how important my yapping is) firstly, i don't do 'experienced animators only' because! no sorry it just makes people feel bad and im not about to be selective when it's literally yall putting in the time and effort to animate appreciation for my roleplay i really appreciate anyone whos willing to do so however! since everyone is welcome, i am going to be placing in a few guidelines just to try to push everyone a little out of their comfort zones! it's a map, we're here to learn :D - shading is required (even minimal cell shading is fine! plz don't feel pressured to make it smooth- if you don't know the difference between cell and smooth just ask :D ) [ though eye shines alone will not count as shading to me, really try to push yourself out of your comfort zone! there's no harm in trying something different i promise ] - a full scene background is required, so no flat colors, abstract patterns, etc. (mossclan has a project you can look at, flurryclan is just a grassland with streams, and you guys can feel free to do whatever you want for -- and ofc please definitely interpret the rest of mossclan yourself however you'd like! i don't want to see any traced backgrounds from my own art haha) ,, feel free to interpret your own colors, environments, etc! :D neither of the camps have been shared, so i'm not too fussy about them - do whatever you'd like :] - you need at least 20 different unique frames. that's a lot, i know, but it shouldn't be for animation - add inbetweens to make your animations smoother! :D and definitely don't be afraid to go beyond this amount! - the animation cannot be ONLY eye movement/blinking and/or tail/ear flicking. experiment with lip syncing, walking, running, stalking, hunting etc. experiment with moving the camera, not the character if you'd like! just try to do something more advanced, push yourself from your comfort zone, i don't care if it's ugly the only thing i want to see from this map is you guys pushing yourselves to do the best possible thing - do not put your part in the background sprite. please use a maximum of two sprites for your part, an animation program can help with condensing sprite usage! - i know not everyone has access, so it's not required, but look into art programs! they'll make everything so much easier, due to onion skinning and layers :sob:. free art programs off the top of my head: krita (what i use, it has animation abilities and i can help anyone with questions on that) firealpaca flipaclip (i don't mind the watermark!) gimp kleki (online, in browser for those that can't download anything!) - i need a sketch submitted alongside the final project (it can be in the final project! it just needs to be somewhere i can see it) -- pre sketches can be very useful and they are required for this map :] - i'm giving everyone 2 months (8 weeks exactly) to complete their part, with a single week extension period. PLEASE drop if you cannot finish it, there's no shame in it, and it helps the map get out faster! it'd be really ideal if this got out before a year goes by helppp. there will be check-ins before the final duedate: by the first two weeks you'll need to have at least started experimenting- this doesn't necessarily mean working on the part exactly, but working with the tools you plan on using for the part. this can mean practicing with new art programs, thinking about ideas, experimenting with said ideas, practicing backgrounds, etc. by five weeks you'll need to have an ANIMATED sketch of your part done. and by eight weeks the entire part needs to be done. FORM: part / any character you've had in generations before (just to ensure you've been in the roleplay) / favorite generations memory (can be literally anything inrp or oorp) / do you accept the rules even though they're a little bit different than other maps? / make sure you also agree with the rules below other rules: - if you're good with all of the above (backgrounds, shading, sketching) - considering experimenting with something else! really push yourself :D - the subject of your part can be anything, but if it's using someone else's character please ask them for permission! if it's one of the old leaders i can ask :] this should go without saying but just in case please do not use the characters of banned members lolllll - keep it kid friendly :D you can do death but do animated kids movie style deaths we don't need blood or gore- if you need ideas lmk - your art only, no ai / tracing / bases etc - idk be normal i guess - 1 part per person - ERA 1 CATS/EVENTS ONLY BTW LOLLLLL ITS AN ERA 1 MAP no era 2 nerds sorry!
