CHAPTER 2 IS OUT! PRESS FLAG SO I GET A READ COUNT. CHAPTER 2 - The hero The kingdom was undergoing a lockdown. The fact that this sorcerer had absorbed the souls of the past defeated terrified everyone. The people from all the hylian towns came begging for the queen to see if the children in their villages was the next hero. Finally I couldn’t stand it. “Zelda, there's something you should know…” I sighed. I couldn’t keep it from her any longer, nore did I want to keep it. Today Zelda was interesting. She was wearing the odd choice of a slightly tattered shirt and trousers without shoes. “Link?” “The Hero of Resurrection… I know who he is.” “Who?” I saw a slight sparkle in her eyes, as if she could guess it. I knelt and held out my hand, bearing the triforces of courage and power. “Link… do you think I trust you?” I didn’t reply. “I know I can trust you, should be able to trust you, but did you hear all of the prophecies regarding the Hero of Resurrection?” “No. But I heard the message from the gods.” “What message?” “That I must resurrect the dead heroes.” “There was nothing about a message from any of the goddesses. Not Nayru, Farore, not Din or Hylia. “But grandfather–” “Grandfather was old, and probably crazy.” “I saw him. Around age thirty or so, and I know he isn’t crazy. I believe all the stuff he told me. He told me this,” I pointed to the triforce of power, “is bad news.” “But courage and power alone can save…” “I trust the opinion of a real hero more than some song.” “Are you fine if I tell Hyrule that I found the hero?” She clasped her hands together. “The only issue is, they might force me to send you away for training.” “I Will protest, after all it’s one of my best abilities!” I winked at her. She giggled. “Before you do, and if they take me away and I can’t do anything, there's something I want to read.” I hurried up to my mothers old room. It was a stretch, but I checked where I found her diary the first time. I found it. What a forty six year old woman was doing with a diary I don’t know. 2/6 I’m not sure how much longer I can protect them. Everyday I feel the next calamity getting closer, and my son's destiny approaching. I was mad, she was talking about my brother wasn’t she. From the date I’m pretty sure this was about two months ago. My eldest son. No matter how much we tried to train him, he wasn’t worthy. I can sense my youngests power. It radiates from him. I have to pretend to hate him. I have to pretend, make everyone believe he’s trustworthy until his destiny comes even if it k1lls me. She wasn’t picking favorites. She was protecting me… and I k1lled her. 2/29 My son did something incredible today. He cooked the family an entire meal! Even trying to pretend I could not even conjure a word to describe his food. Link certainly has his grandfather's love for cooking. The way he holds his knife… the way he looks at me… I feel my end coming. I’ll have to discourage him from using knives. 3/14 Today I got a letter from my sister in-law. “Dear Malinda, It’s been long and I dread to catch up but I fear the end is coming. I found out my most loyal guard was the same one that k1lled your infant daughter. His name is Alistar. He told me that he was taking the sealed power of Bellum and Demise and there was nothing I could do. He hasn’t followed up on his threat but soon I fear. Yours sincerely, Queen Yolanda” I believe her. The night Alistar k1lled my little Anuka, he vowed to take the power of Ganon and Vaati. He never followed up, but the fact he’s doing the same to Yolanda gives me chills… 3/15 He didn’t read anything. Today I found Link snooping in my room. I yelled at him to get out before he opened my diary. I need him to find it in the future so I’ll place it back in the same spot. 4/2 Something bad’s going to happen today. I know it. Link and I had a fight and he said he wanted to become a knight. I knew I couldn’t stop him from this, only delay it till d3ath… though I fear my d3ath is soon enough. My niece Zelda will be coming at least. If anything happens, at least the two kids will have each other. At lunch I saw something in Link's eyes. A silent furry. No one else was in the room to witness his eyes glow, and I don’t know if he knew it himself. He’s cooking. I wish I could let him, but it’s too dangerous. I hope Zelda arrives soon, she might be Hyrules' saving grace. Link if you found this, don’t be afraid. Your family loves you, your ancestors love you, and always will. And the day the beast takes control, don’t let Zelda be scared either.
There’s more but I can’t fit it in. Part 2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1067792253/
