In remembrance of 9/11, please take a moment of silence here to remember the fallen. I’m guessing the majority of the scratch population was not alive during this time period, but this is still an important moment in time. The song I wanted to play won’t save (too long) so just think about this.
So, as you all (should) know, today is the 23rd anniversary of 9/11, when a terrorist attack was made on the United States by Al-Queda. 4 planes were hijacked. 2 crashed into the Twin Towers, 1 crashed into the Pentagon, and the other I’ll get to in a second. Today is a day that we should honor the people who lost their lives on that day. There were many heroes on 9/11. Not just first responders, but the people on the fourth flight as well. The fourth flight was headed for Washington DC, but the heroes of Flight 93 took back control from the terrorists, and the plane ended up crashing into a field in Pennsylvania. Today is a day of remembrance. Please be sure to be respectful. I get that people make jokes about 9/11, (which still shouldn’t really be okay) but today (and not really any day) is not the day for that. There could be people around you who were affected in some way, whether it be directly or indirectly, so we need to be cognizant of that.
