How could a car cross the channel on its own power? He immediately bought a River TranSport and set about modifying it. In 1989 the "Dampervan" was ready, and AquaCar was founded. 1990 he crossed the English channel, the event got so much attention it persuaded him to start selling them. The journey took 1 day.
