song: Sail, by AWOL nation Read the first part of Marcus' story here! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/95088497/ I've made some revisions to it. The thing is, Marcus may not have known he had schizophrenia, but he did have a childhood friend. That friend's name was Derek. His mother thought it was just a phase, everyone has imaginary friends at that age, right? But to Marcus, he was all too real. When Marcus started taking the medication, Derek went away. But the first day he didn't, Derek was back. And he was angry. He accused Marcus of leaving him behind, telling him that he'd been so alone for the past few years, and Marcus, thinking it was all real, tried to tell himself that it was all a lie. Derek, in his anger, fed with Marcus' fear, led him to hallucinate the ants in his eyes. Overall, Marcus views the incident as Derek's fault. But really, Derek isn't real.
