Alexa posts something positive for once real not fake?!?!1!? I’m here to talk about late 2000s to mid 2010s artstyles And why I love them. Alright let’s get to it *deep breath* Ok, first, a slightly negative note, why do people hate this artstyle so much? Well, I believe it to be because of two things- one of them being that a lot of beginners at the time attempted this artstyle. A lot of people didn’t like this as they thought the black shading and white highlights, along with the spiky fur that is a staple of this artstyle, looked bad and needed to change. The other reason, I believe, is because of cringe culture. This artstyle could be seen in a lot of “cringe” memes, or they might be quite “edgy”. I understand not liking these things, however the artstyle isn’t only used for these things and they aren’t hurting anyone. RIGHT NOW ON TO WHY I LOVE THIS ARTSTYLE. So, this artstyle, to me, genuinely just looks good. I can’t quite place it, but that anime-wannabe artstyle looks so charming to me. The spiky, either oversimplified or super detailed fluff, the eyes ALWAYS SHOWING, NO MATTER WHAT, the massive bangs, everything about it. Idk why so few people still use it, it’s beautiful and I will forever stand by that.
Art: 2007 style moth - sorry if my account is turning in to a less art-centred account, I just enjoy getting my feelings out there. I’m going to bring back the 2015 animation trends back and you can’t stop me MWAHAHAH Examples of this artstyle: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/48499320 https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/47038354 https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/94091089 And more! Sadly, a lot of these people left years ago, but their legacy will stand <3
