The current Republic of Naidun Rifle Squad consists of 8 active-duty personnel. Almost all are conscripts, except when the Squad Leader ranks Staff Sergeant (a volunteer rank). Tactically, standard infantry squads generally don't divide into fire teams for fire and maneuver, but they can split into Squad Leader and Assistant Squad Leader teams for other purposes. Most in frontline units are armed with the TK2C rifle, although the older TK2 rifle is still used in low-priority units. The exceptions are the Machine Gunner (who is armed with a TN-88 light machine gun and the Grenadier. Several red dot and night vision optics are available depending on the unit, although most standard infantry are equipped with a 4x C210 optic.
