This is some background lore for a story of mine that takes place on Khelkah (the story’s name is Eight Worlds Split; a.k.a EWS)! Anyone is free to make some OC stories based off of this lore! ______________________________ (WARNING: mentions of character death) This story starts with the deity of terra, Avitari. Avitari was one of the more powerful Pocketrealm Deities, as they specialized in the formation of planets. They were jealous and outraged when Arkkeina, Deity of Khelkans, could overpower them on Khelkah. They thought of Khelkah as their own property, due to it being a planet they should’ve been able to manipiulate like a ball of clay. When Arkkeina was killed by Mikro (PR Deity of control), Avitari took advantage of Arkkeina’s temporary absence (when a deity dies, they disappear for a few years before coming back) and attempted to destroy Arkkeina’s power source, as a deity’s power source is what ensures they come back after dying. They were caught by the other deities before they could succeed, and was put in a prison realm (which is kind of like a two-dimensional space that is tied to a planet through magic) attatched to Khelkah, as it was the most dangerous planet stable enough to hold a prison realm. After many years passed, the prison realm’s tie to Khelkah became less and less stable, resulting in Avitari regaining a few of their smaller powers. Avitari used this power to contact Mikro, who agreed to ally with Avitari and help them break out of their prison realm. Mikro spent several years on Khelkah, using their own powers to summon animals from all over the multiverse onto Khelkah. Mikro’s plan was to have all of these animals (mostly cats who Mikro chose to summon in their own image, as Mikro appears as a dark silhouette of a rather large felid) and use them to break apart the already unstable bonds between Avitari and Khelkah with the summoned animals’ various powers and abilities. Unfortunately, Mikro didn’t expect how aggressive and savage some of Khelkah’s creatures would be, and at first, many of the cats summoned by Mikro would die on day one or two. After a few months, Mikro noticed changes in the summoned animals clever enough to survive that long. They started to mutate in odd ways that made them resemble Khelkans. The animals didn’t turn into any known Khelkan species, but they started gaining weird, ugly, but admittedly useful traits that made them able to survive on Khelkah much easier than unmutated animals. The mutants were far from the strongest creatures on Khelkah, but they were much stronger than the average Mikro-summoned animal. NOTE: Don’t just give your animal tiny wings and short, aesthetically pleasing antennae! The mutations are to help the animal survive on Khelkah and need to have some sort of actual, useful function! This is mostly just a fun way for you to redesign your sparklecats to be unique while ALSO giving them trauma, all in one go!
