So AmberEyes (@st4rry_sk13zzz) asked me how a creature made of glass would move- and that made me think. Keep in mind, this isn’t supposed to be something that could happen in the real world, and is purely hypothetical. Scroll down to see my thought process (not entirely sane) So, first, the actual question. How would they move? I imagine they would be snake-like in shape, with a few large bends on their body, and they would live in ditches. They would jam these bends into the sides of the ditch, which would slightly propel them forwards. They would be completely blind, as glass is.. well, glass, and would feel their way around using their large tongue that was made of melted glass. This tongue would stay melted using the food they ate- although they would not technically need nutrients, the body heat of many small rodents and insects would keep their tongue melted. They would have to eat many times a day to keep their tongue melted, and would mostly scavenge as they move so slowly they would never be able to catch anything big enough to sustain them for long. EXTRA- if they had a different body shape, ex: a cat, I’m not entirely sure how they would move. This is also not the “correct answer” as it’s hypothetical and there are plenty of “correct answers” out there.
This’ll be a species in a world of wierd fantasy creatures I’ll make. Please ask more questions like this so I can make more.
