[x] Welcome to my 100+ follower Draw to Adopt! Read the notes & credits in their entirety to learn about what this is, how it works, prizes, preferences, rules, and more! [x] / ✰ Table of Contents ✰ / 『 What is a DTA? 』 『 Rules 』 『 Prizes 』 『 Preferences 』 『 Prizegivers 』 『 Credits 』 [x] / ✰ What is a DTA? ✰ / DTA stands for Draw to Adopt. It's a type of contest where the host draws original designs, and artists enter to try and win, or adopt, the character! So basically, an art contest where the prize is the character of their choice. Some DTAs have themes, this one.. Not so much. I just gave them all names that started with 'A' after realizing about halfway through that I was starting to follow a pattern.. But other than that, I was just having fun, really. / ✰ Rules ✰ / ✎ You must submit your entry before the deadline of October 10. Extentions can be granted for a week max. ✎ Entry must be a remix. I'll end up forgetting about it if it's not... ✎ The drawing must be original art, made at least mostly by you. References, of course, are fine, but don't trace images or drawings (this includes bases). I may allow gacha edits, but images that use picrew or AI (don't get me started on ai... and don't try it. i can tell.) will be immediately disqualified. ✎ You can make edits to their designs! I'm still learning the ropes of creating original and varied designs, so I know these probably aren't the best. You can alter accent colors, change the way clothes are styled, etc. Just keep them recognizable, and of course, don't change their skin color... ✎ Adding on to that, if drawing humans isn't your jam, you can definitely change their species! So long as you incorporate the pallet and basic parts of their design into the entry, it counts! ✎ Guilt-tripping me or other participants won't work, and will actually worsen your chancces of getting any prizes! So I'd recommend not doing that. <3 ✎ You may enter for as many characters as you'd like, but chances are that you'll only get one. (this could change if this project flops and there aren't many entries by the end of the month...) / ✰ Prizes ✰ / (Each character will have their own winners, 2nd place, 3rd place, and honorable mentions.) ◆ 1st Place -- Full rights to the character and design, fully rendered (basic/no bg) art request (1-2 characters) from me, a follow from me and all prizegivers (if none sign up.. I have alts) ◈ 2nd Place -- Colored 1-2 character(s) bust from me, a follow from me and 3/4 prizegivers ◇ 3rd Place -- Follows from 1/2 prizegivers Honorable mentions will likely recieve a follow from me, and be mentioned in the results project, providing minor advertisement. :) / ✰ Preferences ✰ / As for the project: Animations > Animatics > Animation Memes > Fullbody > Half > Bust As for effort: Fully Rendered + Background > Fully Colored + Background > Fully colored > Lineart > Clean Sketch > Rough sketch Bonus points if you... ✧ Make multiple drawings (keep them all in one project though please...) ✧ Write a backstory or bio for the character! If you don't know where to start, here are my current personal headcanons for everyone--no need to treat any of these as requirements though, try to get creative!! AVA -- transfem or nonbinary, one of those energetic thugs who's like wayyy too bubbly for the amount of trauma they've been put through ASTRO -- amab, looks younger than they are, possibly like.. a god of some kind. but they never do their job, their head is too far in the clouds... and they kinda don't care, hah. ARIYA -- afab, focused, straight-to-the-point, possibly insensitive with how apathetic she is about emotion and such. she can seem almost robotic at times. ABIGAIL -- female-alligned, just a silly little goober who may seem intimidating or a bit much for most. i dunno if they'd be an energetic, social anxiety iinducing kind of scary, or a quiet and ominous kind of scary. but people definitely fear them. they mean well, though. probably. maybe. AXEL -- What even is gender anymore. I think my thought process when starting on the design was that they'd be some kind of maintenence worker, but I may have strayed a bit...
