In 1989, Greenland Television introduced a breakfast-time block, simply entitled "GTV Morgenmad Tid" ("GTV Breakfast Time" in English). Recorded predominantly in Nuuk, this block would become majorly successful for the network and would stick around until 2010 due to low ratings. The block would be replaced with "GTV Morgen" ("GTV Morning" in English). This block would stick around until 2017, when it was reverted back to GTV Morgenmad Tid, due to popular demand.
