Hello again. This is not your everyday lift. It has the funny TTS voice that goes "ThE EleVAtOr wiLL MoVE. In tHe UPwaRdS dIreCtIOn." and the even funnier "FLOOR NUMBA WUN" from JD Sports. This is a fictional version of the lift on Riverside Walk in Kingston, just next to John Lewis. In reality, it was originally an Otis Europa with Dewhurst buttons and custom Drucegrove announcements like the other lifts in John Lewis. I remember going in it when I was little, it had messages such as "RivERSiDE WaLK aNd eXIt" and "KinGStON BriDGe" :P In around 2010 it was modded. Afterwards, it no longer had a voice and had also become progressively more unreliable as the years went by to the point that they decided to put shutters over the lift on the "outside floors" (RW, RR, B, 1R) in around 2016 which are down when the lift is out of service. It was modded again in 2021, this time with the button panel modified slightly, a button added for "UC" (which stands for "undercroft", and that floor is locked) and floor RR changed to P and 1R changed to 1. Now, as of mid 2022, well, in the real universe it is no longer in use as I haven't seen the shutters up at all since then (probably because it isn't used very much anymore) but in this fictional universe, it was modded yet again... and now look what it has come to! It now runs on a MacPuarsa "EcoGo" lift controller with a custom voice unit. Also, "RR" or "P" was changed to "GR", and "1" was changed back to "1R" and is now also locked off as the entrance to John Lewis there is permanently closed probably because of the housing development. In this same fictional universe, level 1R of John Lewis Kingston is to be turned into flats in the coming years. Oh yeah, the glass is covered up in this project because I was too lazy to make the moving shaft this time. Similarly, the backdrops are lazily drawn as I was too lazy to use actual backdrops or take pictures, especially now that the real-life lift that this project is based on is pretty much derelict.

Description

@Jon5432 for the movement noise @Foxorolo for the voice I couldn't find out what tts voice he used in his project https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/889213192 so I using MS David as a placeholder until I can find it. Oh yeah, if anyone has any footage of the Kingston John Lewis outside lift before 2010, I'd love to see it and relive a fond childhood memory of mine. Fun fact: Beno's old lift photos is the only place I know of on the Internet where you can find imagery of John Lewis Kingston's OG riverside lift. Also, yes, it has Dewhurst US100 buttons with Dewhurst Braille tags next to each button rather than engravings on the faceplate because why not. Also it has Dewhurst ULS54H vandal resistant indicator inside the lift and MP 639 LCD indicator outside the lift which you can't see on here although I did hide one inside the project.
