I've recently learned about a type of alterhuman known as objectkin, individuals who identify on a non-physical level with an object or inanimate item. I've noticed that many therians and otherkins dismiss this as absurd, and I might lose a follower or two for saying this, but I believe it's a completely legitimate identity. While I'm not objectkin myself and can't fully grasp it, I do understand the feeling of having one's identity belittled and called insane. I'm sure many in the community, regardless of their specific identity, can empathize with this feeling. Sorry for the lengthy post, but I feel it's important to emphasize that within our diverse community, we shouldn't deem the unfamiliar as insanity.
