Instructions

Watch to see what would happen!! :) Press space, the right arrow key, or the button on screen to go next! For Scratch Camp 2023! QUASI STARS: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/879778140/ Made in July 27, 2023! Changed M87 costume! - August 3rd OH MY GOD IT’S FEATURED TYSM GUYS!!! :) ----------------------------------------------------------------- About Black Holes ----------------------------------------------------------------- Black Holes are one of the most extreme objects in space, and can be found pretty much at the center of galaxies, and even our own! When massive stars die, they contract violently, and implode into a black hole. They have infinite density, and thus infinite gravity. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Let's Jump In! ----------------------------------------------------------------- The first thing you'll notice is your legs stretching towards the black hole. This is due to the extreme gravity pulling you! As you make your way closer and closer to the black hole, you keep stretching and stretching! But you aren't the only thing stretching! Time and space are also getting warped around you, as the space outside you and the black hole speeds up, so real time travel is theoretically possible. You get closer and closer your body getting more warped and condensed into a stream of plasma, eaten up by the black hole. But what about super massive black holes? You could probably cross the event horizon! That's the point where there's no going back, even if you travelled at the speed of light! We don't know for sure what's inside a black hole, but after an infinite amount of time you'd reach the point where all the mass that the black hole has eaten is concentrated: The singularity, where you'll be crushed into one infinitely small point. Also, I know this project is not perfect and complies EVERYTHING we know about black holes or details exactly everything, but a the end of the day this is just a 5 minute simplified introduction to black holes and not an astrophysics textbook, so please please please don’t yap about a bunch of formulas and stuff in a paragraph. If something is genuinely wrong, then feel free to tell me in the comments below in a simple way and just get to the point. Thanks!
