Instructions

Press space to see all starter creatures. Limax and Ceraxsnatcher made my @mackiedoodle1 I intend to keep the same, original simplistic artstyle the project initially had. And huge disclaimer BEFORE YOU MAKE SOMETHING please stick to the relatively simple artstyle as best you can please FAUNA ----------------------------------------------------------------- Scientific Name: Limax Privinita Alias: Limax Niche: Bottomfeeder Evolved from: (N/A) Description: Limax (known as Limax privinita) is a small primoridal worm-like species in Typhon. They are resilient herbivores, and can live in almost any underwater environment. They slowly move around across the seafloor and have almost no defense, except that their body is quite thick. They eat algae buildup on the sea floor and are currently uncontested for this niche. They have a hole for a mouth and the other hole for waste removal. Life cycle: Mature Limax lay very fragile eggs next to rocks. When the egg hatches, the limax is almost fully grown already, but slightly smaller and paler in coloration. Soon after they will fully mature, find food, and eventually mate when possible. They currently have the longest lifespan of all fauna, though thats due to change after phase 0. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Scientific name: Ceraxsnatcher Levitus Alias: Ceraxsnatcher Niche: Apex predator Evolved from: (N/A) Description: Ceraxsnatcher are large, crustacean-like predators that primarily feed on Limax and serve as their primary population control. Though slow and unoptimized for speed, they are still much faster than Limax and more than capable of catching them. Uniquely, they evolved mandibles, which they use to full advantage to grip and immobilize their prey entirely. They may have shells, but don't let that fool you; the shells are incredibly weak and soft. Life cycle: Ceraxsnatcher adolescents are unique for their larval form. After hatching from an egg, they are almost entirely defenseless, blind, and mostly just sit around and wait until they shed. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Scientific name: Whiplynus Vect Alias: Whipolog Niche: Omnivore/Scavenger Evolved from: (N/A) Description: Whiplynus are fast moving omnivores that consist of a head and prehensile flagellum. They are the first organisms with a functioning jaw mechanism. They are completely blind, they use a receptor on their head to smell their surroundings. Because of their compact body plan, their brain is very basic and they act very stupid. They also don't have a proper stomach, so they dont gain a lot of nutrients from food and produce a lot of waste (hence the presence of algae). They will eat dead bodies, shedded skin, and occasionally chunks of Juneroots. Life cycle: Whiplynus give live birth to their young, although their flagellum remains undeveloped. Within 12 minutes of being born the flagellum is completely developed and they can move freely, achieving near instant adulthood. Their lifespan is very short and most of the time they die due to starvation, but not before mating and producing numerous young first.

Description

FLORA ----------------------------------------------------------------- Scientfic name: Writhus Tulneram Alias: Juneroot Niche: Oxygenator Evolved from: (N/A) Description: Juneroots are the main source of oxygen for the planet. They grow rapidly and reproduce with their roots; When one of the roots grows too far, the main plant will sever it. That stray root will begin growing into its own Juneroot. They intake carbon dioxide through their cellulose barrier and output oxygen through its "head". They are the first and only plant on Typhon currently, and soon they will evolve into a plethora of underwater seagreens.
