Four years ago today, Chadwick Boseman died in 2020 after a four year battle with colon cancer. Boseman was best known for playing as Black Panther/T'Challa in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in Captain America: Civil War, and even getting his own movie in 2018. He would also appear two more times in the last two Avengers movies (Infinity War in 2018, and Endgame in 2019). He was also famous for playing Jackie Robinson in baseball player's biography movie, 42 (2013). I found out about Boseman's death on August 31st, 2020 (three days after) by a classmate of mine. He said: [Spring], we lost a legend. Chadwick Boseman has died." . . . And he was right. We did lose a legend. Prior to his death, there were plans for a Black Panther sequel. Boseman however didn't read the script. After he died, Marvel announced that he wouldn't be recasted or set as a CGI stand-in. The script was rewritten into what we know as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), where T'Challa's younger sister, Shuri (now the main character) tries to come to terms with the loss of her brother. The movie was fantastic, and I recommend you watch it. Right now, we honor one of the best black actors who truly touched our hearts. Rest in peace, Chadwick. You are still missed to this day. (November 29, 1976 – August 28, 2020) Wakanda forever!
