The reason i put halogen and HID in the same type is because they also have similarities, that i listed below. Except there are some differences with them, like how HID is almost as bright as LED. SIMILARITIES: You can change colors for all halogen, HID, or LED lights. HID and halogen headlights is also available in white or different colors, like LEDs. DIFFERENCE: Regarding energy use, LEDs use slightly less power than HIDs. LED lights start up instantly, whereas HID lights have a short lag once turned on, just like halogen headlights. Halogen is a normal conventional headlight type which is more common on older cars. LED is also normal headlight type, but used on modern cars. Most cars are available with LED headlights for higher end models. LED and HID headlights are more brighter than halogen as well. Their lifespan is also different. Halogen light bulbs last only 450-1000 hours. LED light bulbs last up to 45,000 hours. HID however lasts 2000-15,000 hours. The lifespan depends on the type of light bulb you choose. When changing colors for the headlights, you need to paint the bulbs of both halogen and Xenon headlights, but on LED, you can change the color in their RGB settings, paint the base of their bulb, or just tint the surrounding area of the headlight lens. NOTE: If you want to convert your halogen headlight to LED, it depends on the type of headlight your car has. If you have the same plug, you can make it as plug and play. If it has a different plug.
