Use with credit ig "BOB" is a B-24J-65-CF built in Texas in 1944. It served in both the European and Pacific Theaters during WWII, racking up 32 missions total. Records also show P-47D "Assassin's Teapot" escorted it for two missions. It was retired in 1945, and sold to the same museum as B-17E Bad Batch, however was only there for 2 years, when it was resold to another museum, and stayed there for 10 years before being acquired by the LSAM in 1957. It was restored to airworthy condition in 1961, and still flies to this day.
