A Golden Story ------------------------ Chapter 2 --------- The Discovery Next: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1062513631/ Previous: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1058467773/ First: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1058467773/ “I don’t know what to do . . .” “Should we help her?” “What better ideas do we have, Walker? We can’t just leave an unconscious person in an alleyway!” Golds eyes fluttered open, taking in a sharp breath. Heaps of trash were around her, and a foul smell stung her nose. She coughed and blinked, realizing two blurry figures infront of her, whispering. They didn’t seem to notice she had woke up. “Okay . . . “ One of the people whispered shyly. Quickly, he came into view, and Gold blinked. He was a dapper man with a shy smile and kind face. His skin was quite tan, and he wore a neat blue shirt and a dark blue tie. He stuck out his hand, obviously noticing she was somewhat conscious. “Um . . . “ She whispered, looking at him with icey blue eyes. “ . . . Sorry, what are you doing?” Gold gave him a strange look, and he pulled his hand away from her, blushing from embarrassment. “Sorry! I thought you needed help. What’s your name, stranger?” She paused for a second, making sure she was fine. “Gold. You?” She mumbled, hoisting herself up. Gold stumbled and almost fell, but the guy caught her with his arms. Wordlessly he helped her back up. “So, how did you end up in an . . . alleyway?” He laughed a bit. “Oh, my names Walker, by the way.” The guy looked back at the end of the alleyway and pointed at a girl. “That’s Kamber. She’s my best friend and we found you here.” She looked at Gold with confusion and then gazed back at Walker. “Well . . . It’s a little hard to explain, but I’m sure you’ll understand,” Gold nodded, beginning her story. “I was flying, hiiiigh up on the mountains-“ Walker interrupted her with contempt. “Sorry. Flying? Like, airplane flying?” She blinked. “Uh, no? What’s an airplane? Anyways,” Gold took in a breath and extended her wings. Her left wing ached horribly and she saw that a rip was made in the wing. Reader, it seems the storytelling would have to stop for now. “What in the world!? That’s not normal . . . “ He exclaimed shyly, trying not to be /too/ rude. Gold raised a brow. “I thought everyone had wings?” She tried to stretch her wings more but sucked her teeth when pain ripped across the left one. Walker smiled at this. “Here, you can come to my apartment. Then you can explain everything. No sense in hanging out in an alleyway.” He chuckled, trudging through glass shards and bags of garbage. Gold followed, confused and dazed and tired. She stepped out into the light and felt dizzy. How long was she out for? More horrible smells filled her nose; ones she’d never smelled. It was a crowded array of buildings, the area she was in, nothing like her little village. Her heart stung, suddenly remembering the town, her parents. Gold clutched her heart metaphorically at the thought. Her parent must be in shock, discovering she never returned from the flight. She continued to follow Walker across the loud, bustling buildings until he stopped, with Kamber behind her. She had been quietly walking with them, and could tell she was staring at her weirdly. I thought it was odd to /not/ have wings, Gold snorted in her mind. Walker must’ve felt the tension between the two because he turned around and whispered to Gold, “Its fine. Kamber might be somewhat judgy, but once you know her well she’s well kind.” Gold nodded at this, shrugging off the eagle eyes of Kamber behind her. He opened a creaky door made of glass, and Gold marveled at the sight. This building must be quite fancy to have so much glass! She thought proudly. Gold continued behind Walker up a flight of stairs, and soon came upon a cheery wooden door with steel numbers marked 901. She wondered what is was for, but the thought disappeared when he opened to door. It was quite unlike her little home in the mountains, made of wood. It was luxurious to her blue eyes, with huge glass panes and plush couches and stools not made of wood. “I’ll fix some tea, then you can explain everything to Kamber and I,” He smiled warmly, which reminded her of her father. I miss him so much, Gold thought sadly. She threw herself into the couch, sinking into it. Golds eyes went open. It was the most comfortable thing she’d sat on in her life! Why didn’t her parents ever get one, or even build one? It was soft and squashy and felt like a million layers of wool blankets had enveloped her. It had a dark-cherry color, which was eye-pleasing to Gold. CONTINUED IN DESC END OF CHAPTER 2

Description

She saw Walker heading towards her, carrying two steamed cups of tea; Kamber had already grabbed hers and joined them at the living area. Walker set himself down on a soft chair to the left, and Kamber to the right in an identical chair. He smiled, taking a sip of the warm tea. “So,” he said warmly “Tell me how you came here to Wishire City.” END OF CHAPTER 2 JESUS FOR EVERYTHING <33 THE TN TOOK ME SO LONG OH MY GOSH LIKE 3 HOURS IMSO PROUD OF MYSELF THOUGH @mooalmoo shading style lol, I enjoyed doing it so I’m gonna do something like this more often .0.
