Here's a 100-word story I had to write for a class. I like it, so I'm sharing it. Btw, this is a true story. I’d never been to a sleepaway camp before this summer. It felt like a cheesy camp movie from the moment I arrived, which made me nervous. “It could be worse,” I tried to reassure myself. “This isn’t an awful movie. There’s no summer camp romance. Romance is terrible.” I follow a friend from youth group down to the lake. By that afternoon, I was in full panic mode every time the girl from my youth group grabbed my hand or bumped into me as we swam. All I could think to myself was, “Of all the stereotypical summer camp things to happen, I did not see this one coming.”
