Instructions

Click the Love-it button of course! I had to make a game that involves probability for my Math class so this is the game I came up with. I've left out the probability stuff I had to do in case you are wondering where the probability is. This was meant to be a board game, so the instructions revolve around that, so just click the green flag and play, but if you want to play at the table and not around the computer, continue reading the Notes below. Also, if you like this project enough, come on Chat.PY and chat with me and whoever else happens to be on! http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/10403636/ It requires Scratch 1.4 to make it even cooler!

Description

6/3/2013 - Changed the layout and added buttons for Keep and roll Again. Thank you @eventexception for the suggestion! :) 6/4/2013 - Got featured. :P * - Added computer players (type in 1 for players and then 1-7 for NPCs, you will be the last player to go). * - Fixed a bug where you could type more than 8 players. Thank you @artzy28 and everyone else who reported it. :) 6/7/2013 - Fixed a bug that allowed people to keep playing even after someone won. * - Also fixed the bug where if you (or another player) rolls a number higher than the number of spaces left to win, you won't go further than the last space. 7/27/2013 - Implemented furthest past finish line wins. Thanks @kudeta ! (Suggestion here: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/10581006/#comments-13900866 ) Just going to copy and paste what I had in my Google Doc here: The Game: This is a simple game of luck and part strategy. The goal is to get from the first square on the game board to the last square (18th square). Needed Materials: 1 Game Board (a grid of 18 squares, 1x18, 3x6, etc.) 1 Six-Sided Die 8 Player Pieces (or however many people you are playing with, player pieces can be anything) 1 Prize (can be candy, bragging rights, fame, etc.) Instructions: Pick a random player to go first. When it is your turn, you have 3 times you can roll the dice. The first time you roll the dice, you can choose whether to move your piece that number of spaces or you can roll again. If you roll a second time, you can either go that number of spaces or roll again. If you decide to roll a third time, you must go the number of spaces you get minus the lowest of your two earlier rolls (so yes, you can go backwards, but no further back than the first square!). After you turn, the player on your right goes. Once a player reaches the 18th square, that player wins and the game is over. The winner also receives the prize at the end.
