Part 1 of a massive theory (like 5 or 6 parts). Thumbnail is how I feel making all of theories. When you see '[next]' use the right arrow key, spacebar, or click to go to the next image [next] I had a conversation about Meadow a bit ago ( https://scratch.mit.edu/users/MeadowFoot_ToPH/#comments-342406975 ) about the big scary cat (I'll be calling him BSC) shown in a sneak-peak project (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/964795018/ ). They said that the sneak-peak probably wasn't canon anymore but that we had already seen BSC before, just not in chapters. I was pretty easily able to match his appearance to ???star that was shown in the art with music, and as I sat pondering this theory, I felt everything fall into place. All theories I had, both shared and unshared, seemed to connect to this cat. He was the missing piece of the puzzle, the cornerstone that kept my theory arch from falling down, and I think I know how the past timeline is going to play out now. This discovery does go against the theory I had a bit ago, but I didn't believe to strongly in that theory anyway after it was disproved by Meadow. (Bad Theory: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1055448275/). Now, before we hop into any crazy theories with BSC, I want to go over what we know about him. [next] Appearance Wise, BSC is large fluffy cat with tabby patterns. He also has very large fangs and a mane. We don't currently know his colors, but we do know that he uses he/him pronouns (confirmed by Meadow). Personality wise, we don't have anything except the song 'The 13th', so let's get analyzing, shall we? [next] When I first connected BSC to this song, I was kind of shocked. BSC seemed a very scary and undeniably evil cat in the sneak peak, but this songs tone is somber and sad, fitting more a misunderstood villain than a horrible cat that I first assumed he was. The lyrics prove this point even more. (Intro) Here's all I am An illusion I am Remain unseen An intrusion I am This seems to show feeling unreal, unheard, or unseen. Maybe BSC felt unsatisfied and under-appreciated in his life before becoming a leader. Maybe even as a leader he feels worthless. (Chorus) I don't know how to feel alive, and I don't know if I'll ever be home again I don't know if you'll ever see me fall (x2) This is obviously full of regret. He is crying out I don't know how to feel alive and that he's homesick. He also says he doesn't know if you'll ever see him fall, which might mean he almost loathes his position as leader. Maybe he even wants to fall, wants to die. [next] (Verse 1) Was born a ghost Lived as a lie Prey to my woes I hail your words But I'm unheard I don't belong This might show that no matter how much he tries to follow the person leading him, he still feels unsatisfied. He was born a ghost, and even though he is leader now, he still feels like he doesn't belong. (Verse 2) I bear your lies Your words of pride Despise your codes Repent my oath Resent and loathe The one above This is obviously him hating 'the one above'. He also says he despises 'your codes' which may reference to the warrior code. With this context, I imagine he either hates the cats above him or hates Starclan itself. He is obviously a very hateful and resentful cat. (Verse 3) Why did I become the one, here and now? Everything that you need is just a vow Remain in silence, a broken alliance A traitor to life, to love, to all that we know I think that this is BSC questioning why he became leader, or maybe wanting for more. A broken alliance may refer to a cat that he liked in the past that he now hates. He refers to himself (or possibly the cat he is cursing) as a traitor to everything. And that is the song! Sorry if this theory makes little to no sense, it's very hard to explain without the other parts of the theory :sob: Speaking of which, Part 2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1057234768/ Characters, story, and art by @Meadowfoot_ToPH Song by Lord of the Lost
