Hurricane Ernesto is gradually intensifying today, but has been struggling to organise a clear eyewall due to dry air intrusion. However, the storm is expected to keep strengthening gradually as it pulls northeastwards and will be closing in on Bermuda tomorrow. Winds of 100 miles per hour, as well as a storm surge and very dangerous sea conditions are expected on the island, with rainfall totals of 12 inches or more possible. Ernesto may slow down around Bermuda before accelerating again as it clears the island late this weekend or early next week
