A Hurricane Watch was issued this morning for the Virgin islands, Culebra, and Vieques ahead of Tropical Storm Ernesto, which is expected to arrive overnight. The storm is currently passing St Kitts and Nevis, and Tropical Storm Warnings extend from Guadeloupe through to Puerto Rico today, with winds of 50 miles per hour possible at the moment. However, strengthening is likely later today, and Ernesto could reach hurricane status as it pulls away from the islands tomorrow morning.
