Woohoo(Kingdom) Lima was Indeed adaptable, quite so. So adaptable, that they were able to move outside of the homes of their chemical vents and into the open ocean with the power of photosynthesis. They lack a mitochondria, but it still works. The cell is red due to photosynthesis, for the same reason why earth plants are green. The change came gradual- The competition was lessened the further out you got from the vents, so photosynthesis was the answer. The first of these were simple hybrids living off both their star and the vents, but eventually they came free of the vents and roam the open seas. Oh and also they don’t have the cool shell thing anymore cuz no more chemical feeding
