Follow these instructions carefully to get them in: 1. Scroll down below these instructions & read the rules! DON'T proceed until you've done this! 2. Click the green "Remix" button at the top-right corner. 3. Create your character! Just duplicate the ''Player0'' and replace every costume in that sprite with your character, replace all "Voice" sound clips with your character's voice & set their name. 4. Test your project &, if you like the result, either continue to add more characters or share it! BONUS: You're also allowed to add characters to the thumbnail & add more music tracks. =============== • ✦ Grab the fruits but be careful to avoid the logs! The objective is simple: the first player to collect 10 fruits wins the game! Be strategic, and make sure to stay out of harm’s way as you race to gather your fruits. ===== RULES ===== (don't break them) Well, only I am allowed to break these rules—no one else. 1. It's considered polite and good REMIX ETIQUETTE to leave a comment saying "Remixing..." before you start working on a remix. This helps prevent accidental branching of the remix tree by alerting others that you're already working on it. If someone has commented "Remixing..." and you don’t plan to start a new remix branch, please refrain from remixing until they’re done. 2. DO NOT VIOLATE SCRATCH'S COMMUNITY GUIDELINES! This means no inappropriate content—nothing too scary, vulgar, or containing swear words. Keep it clean and community-friendly. 3. Do not add or remove anyone from the “breaking rules” list without permission! Also, do not delete any of these rules or instructions, and avoid completely changing the project title. These guidelines are here for a reason—respect them. 4. Always give proper credit to @-Rex- for creating the Pen Text Engine++ used in this project! (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/406678232/). If you’d rather not type out the credits yourself, you can copy and paste the following template into the Notes and Credits section: "Credit to @-Rex- for PTE++ (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/406678232/). 5. Don’t delete or drastically alter anything that you didn’t originally create! Exceptions can be made if something violates rules or the Community Guidelines, if a bug or glitch needs fixing, or if you’re adding a new feature to improve the project. 6. Ensure that your character(s) remain balanced and fair in terms of gameplay. Don’t make your character overpowered—every participant should have an equal chance to win! 7. When adding characters, avoid combining two separate characters into one player slot (e.g., Mario & Luigi as a single player). If characters are physically inseparable with no way to detach them, then it's acceptable. 8. Do not delete any music tracks unless they violate the Community Guidelines. If there’s a song or genre you don’t enjoy, use the “audio exemption” feature to mute it for yourself rather than removing it. 9. Speaking of music, please refer to the Music comment for the recommended limit on how many tracks should be added, to prevent lag and maintain smooth performance in the project. 10. You can add yourself to the thumbnail if you’d like, but please don’t remove existing characters or completely alter the thumbnail's appearance. The thumbnail is part of the project’s identity. 11. If you are on the “breaking rules” list, you have permission to add a new rule if necessary. Be sure to update both this comment and the project’s instructions with the new rule. 12. Avoid adding static images for characters unless they are transparent sprites taken directly from video games. Animated characters fit better within the project’s style. 13. Lastly, don’t make your character unusually tiny or giant. Keep them appropriately sized so they are visible and easy to play with. ================== If you violate any of these rules, it could lead to your remix being declared UNOFFICIAL, and it may ultimately be abandoned. To avoid this outcome, it’s essential to carefully review and adhere to all the rules. Make sure to double-check each one right before you share your project.
Let's delay the credits. If one of you is wondering why I didn't hop on to the longest branch... let's talk. Especially you, curators of The Add Yourself Studio. I've been talking a lot with @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop lately, outside of Scratch since you know, he's blocked. We couldn't help but notice all the arguing with the Roundcat Rally AY about who is remixing and such, and how people want to forbid certain others to not remix. Seeing it all, he said he felt there was too much divide for him to comfortably participate should he return. Three other users approached me privately as well, sharing the same sentiment. For that, a certain idea has been growing into my head, one which has started appealing to Burgnew more and more with time. That is the idea of having no official remix branch. In this system, people would just remix wherever they want. Wanna be on the longest one? Or stick to the remixes of your closest friends? It's up to you. As for the "Remixing..." etiquette? That should only be a formality used to coordinate groups of friends remixing each others' projects. So there should be a bit less stressing about being overtaken. Really, this system has been available the whole time, but from what I've noticed, people take this friend group as the official branch since it's all pre-planned outside of Scratch, or they have some kind of reputation or status, and that is where conflict arises. Thus, that is why I remix here. This is not meant as an "official" remix, just as a remix to stick with that friend group. And nothing more. Anyway, now that the serious stuff is done with...
