Imagine you are standing and looking straight down at the red square. Then use the CRX slider to simulate tilting your head to look straight ahead. The square costume will change perspective to look like it's 3D.
It uses the fisheye effect (combined with a large costume boundary) to stretch the costume, and then display at the correct size. Thanks to @kevinkommenkann who made the original project. I remixed it to experiment and make the costumes and formulas more precise. I think 8 or 4 square rotation costumes look good. It can display any texture you want. This will be used in Sprite 3D games to make 3D floors/platforms, and if you rotate 90 degrees you can make walls. Update: It doesn't look very good. Traditional 3d pen squares looks better. The next steps will be - putting this in a game - trying to make a 3D cube If you have any ideas for how to make a 3D cube, please remix!
