On August 8th, 2014, exactly 10 years ago today, a game called "Five Nights at Freddy's" was released. Created by Scott Cawthon, the game was simple. Work five nights as a security guard at a local pizzeria. But it turned out that there have been an incident, with five children going missing. The place was searched high and low, but they were never found, and presumed dead. But they were stuffed inside the animatronics, and the souls haunted the robots. And now they want to come for you. Using limited power, you have to fend for yourself, fending off the animatronics and survive until 6 AM. Simple, right? WRONG. While things do start slow at the beginning, each night gets a little harder, and it takes strategy to survive. If that's not crazy, less than 2 months later, Scott had announced a second game to be released! Then came a third, a fourth, an RPG, a fifth, a sixth and so on. A fanbase has grown with this franchise, and became one of the most popular in the world. And I'd like to share my story. When the first game came out, I was scared of it. I was 9, so I had a right to be scared. But all that changed when I was on a roblox RP game (this was back in 2014), and I heard this song in the background. "Five Nights at Freddy's" by Yoav Landau, specifically The Living Tombstone. That changed my mind about the game, and I started to love it. By early 2015, I was a fan, and I still am today. Scott, thank you SO very much, Scott, for making the franchise. We'll never forget it! Here's to 10 years of fantasy and fun coming to life, and here's to another decade!
