Berry woke to the sound of Fluffy’s licking sounds. Berry got up and started stretching. {Another peaceful day…} He padded over to Fluffy. “How’s my temp doing?” Berry asked charismatically. Fluffy rolled his eyes. “C’mon, let’s check on the tribe. And gather a patrol.” Berry meowed. He got out of his den. The tribe was doing well. The fighters and hunters are training their tyros well, the healer is gathering herbs, the nursery is packed with kits and the elders are doing well. “Owwwwwwww!”yowled a cranky voice from the elders den. {Sort of..} Berry was the leader of this group and his temp, or deputy, is Fluffy. They were close friends, like really. Berry was exhiled from his clan moons ago. Ever since then, he’s started his own clan/tribe, Mystic Tribe. “Cats of Mystic Tribe! Gather round’ please.” Berry yowled from the top of Tall Rock. He watched as the tribe gathered around. “We’ll be having a training session today for the tyros at Sunny Hollow. It’s for both Fighters and Hunters.” Berry meowed loudly. “Also, organize yourself into patrols as usual. One patrol for hunting and the other to check the area.” Fluffy added. Berry left Fluffy in charge for the tribe because Berry needed to go on border patrol. The sun shined hard on the patrol. It was sunhigh. “I don’t scent any intruders. Why do we need to do this?” Petal a white tabby tyro from behind mewed. “You are quite lucky that you were picked to go on this patrol. Or do you want more training? Be honoured that you’re on the same patrol as your leader.” Edge, Petal’s mentor hissed. They patrolled they around the area. “Stop.” Berry whispered to the patrol. He scented something very familiar. “What is it?” Tint asked quietly. Berry felt as the ground shifted below him. He knew this day would come but not this soon. It’s only been 12 moons. Berry turned around. “Get the others back to the hollow. I’ll deal with this.” Berry whispered to Edge. Edge quickly obeyed and signaled to the patrol to follow him. Berry waited until he couldn’t smell the patrol anymore, then he turned to walk toward the scent of ThunderClan. Suddenly, a small head popped out of a bush. Berry heard it yelp. He sat down. {ThunderClan. Why are they here?} A brown tabby appeared with the small cat next to him. The brown tabby looked shocked when he saw Berry. “Greetings, Be- Berryclaw….” said the brown tabby coolly. Berry recognised this cat. It was Mudpebble. “Hello, there. It’s been a long time hasn’t it?” Berry meowed. Mudpebble flicked his tail to and fro. “How is ThunderClan? And I’m not Berryclaw. I’m simply Berry.” Berry shot the small cat a look. “How can I trust you again? You killed Fernstar.” Mudpebble mumbled. Berry laughed. He felt like clawing Mudpebble’s ears off. “Wouldn’t you like to visit my tribe and talk peacefully? Or would you rather be dead by my claws?” Berry asked menacingly. He wanted to know why they were here. The small cat drew closer to the brown tabby. “Fine. I’ll follow you.” Mudpebble hissed. Berry led the way back to camp. {Who is that small cat and why are they here?}
