Sonic Evolution is a 4-part series based on Sonic 4, taking some of it's flaws and changing them for the better, like in Episode 1, Casino Street becomes Carnival Rides, and in Episode 2, the Tails fly system is improved. Episodes 3 and 4 are completely original, with Episode 3 ending the Death Egg mk. II and Episode 4 is focused on shutting down Metal Sonic. This boss is the Egg Cannon. It drives around and shoots out cannonballs.
