Description

To save space in the studio description, here is the official list of rules for Object Records. It is strongly recommended that you fully read through these rules if you want to be allowed to participate within the studio. --- - 1. Only post music and music-related content. - Object Records is a studio for music producers in the object show community. Therefore, every project in the studio must be related to music, whether it be a song, an album/EP, or something else entirely, like an advertisement for a new song or a discussion/review of a song or artist. You know what they say, no Undertale clickers or shooter games. Most importantly, the project should have music as its primary focus; an episode of an object show that just so happens to have music in the background won't count. - 2. Only post your own music. - The purpose of Object Records is to be a dedicated space for people to share music that they made themselves. Many Scratch users make projects containing a compilation of their favorite songs, but such projects have no place in our studio. If your project happens to contain music that does not belong to you, credit appropriately and do not pass it off as your own. Remixes, remakes, covers, etc. of other songs are permitted as long as you properly credit the original song that you're using. Furthermore, if you are caught plagiarizing someone else's music, you will receive an immediate studio ban. - 3. Don't be a jerk. - This should go without saying, but alas. Do not be hateful or disrespectful towards anybody based on their age, race, sexual orientation, gender, etc. This not only violates the Scratch Community Guidelines, but also yields an immediate studio ban. Also, just be nice overall. If you're going to criticize, be constructive and supportive instead of rude and dismissive. Everyone is just trying their best and/or having fun here, and no one wants that to be ruined. - 4. Avoid being inappropriate. - Inappropriate comments are what got the SOSC and ROSS deleted in the first place. Please refrain from discussing topics that are unsafe for Scratch at all costs. If you are in doubt about whether a topic is inappropriate, it's better not to talk about it at all. This rule is a little tougher to enforce since there isn't exactly a way to ban users from commenting, but the sustainability and longevity of the studio depends on it. - 5. Try to refrain from reposting. - Object Records isn't a very popular studio, so there isn't much use in removing and re-adding your project since the chance of it getting buried is far less likely. This hasn't been much of an issue as of late (or at all), but still, if you can help it, don't repost your project more than once so that other members of our community can get a fair chance to be at the top. - 6. FOR MANAGERS: Don't pull an Intent. - We already had this happen once before, and even though we were able to swiftly restore most of our members after the incident, it was simply a huge inconvenience and should not happen again under any circumstances. If you are a manager, do not remove large amounts of projects or curators without a valid reason. Doing so results in an immediate studio ban because it shows that you are not mature or trustworthy enough to hold a manager position, and that you do not respect our community enough to remain a member. --- This studio operates on a 2-strike system. Unless specified otherwise, breaking a rule once will give you a warning, and breaking a rule again will result in your removal from the studio. You may appeal to rejoin one month after your removal, but if you continue to break rules and get yourself removed a second time, you will be banned. Managers are encouraged to enforce this system; any member of the studio caught breaking a rule should be given a warning, removal, or ban, depending on the level of offense. For reference, check inside this project's second backdrop for a list of members who have been either warned or removed.
