Man three theories in a week. Like my last theory project, this will be mostly text, but when you see the word next in brackets([next]) click the screen, use the space bar, or use the right arrow key to go to the next picture. My basic thoughts on the flowers can be summarized by this theory by @Dinosers : https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1038533306/ but I wanted to add a different insight [next] Meadow mentions in the credits of chapter 12 that Volepaw's flower is a marigold and that the flowers don't have any symbolism (sarcastically, of course). So, I am going to be guessing what all the characters flowers are and explaining the symbolism behind them. [next] First up is our favorite emotionally distant girlie, Salmonpaw. I had a hard time finding a real flower that looks like hers, but I noticed it looked like a teal rose. The color is a bit off, but it otherwise fits pretty close. These apparently don't grow in real life, but according to lejardininfini.com the color turquoise symbolizes tranquility, relaxation, and renewal, which all fit Salmonpaw. [next] Volepaw was easily the easiest of this list, as her flower was already given to us. Marigolds symbolize happiness, joy, and optimism, which fits. Yellow marigolds in particular represent spiritual growth and enlightenment, which could hint at Volepaw's character arc. [next] Breezypaw was easily the hardest. There aren't a lot of flowers with that hue of brown in general, especially ones with five petals. I found five flowers I think are possibilities (left to right). First is the boat orchid, which represent wealth, nobility, success, and valued friendship. Besides friendship, this one doesn't fit Breezypaw too well. The second is the toffee rose, which represents open-mindedness and open heartedness. This fits his personality better, but his flower doesn't look like a rose. Third option, which I think is the most likely, is the creme burlee phlox, which symbolizes united hearts, harmony, and partnership. This could be a reflection of Breezy's and Vole's relationship, which we've not seen much of yet. [next] The last comfirmed plant we have is Hazepelt's leaf. Leaves represent change, but I wasn't satisfied with that basic of an answer, so I decided to over-analyze. I looked at what leaves look most similar to Hazepaw's (even though it's just the basic leaf most people draw), and the best match I found was the cherry leaf. Cherry trees symbolize rebirth, family ties, and new beginnings, which I feel fits Hazepelt. [next] Now we're in double assumption territory, cause I'm not only assuming what the flower is, but also if it's even connected to a certain cat in the first place. (huge credit to @angelslivin for their theory: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1040577382) First up is Goldencloud, who looks a lot like the long blue flower. After some digging, I feel like the flower looks most like a bluebell. Bluebells symbolize humility, gratitude, and everlasting love, which I feel fits Golden. [next] Last is Violetant with her flower. I feel the flower looks most like a blue star flower, which symbolize purity, strength, and liberty. Anyway yeah, flowers. Thanks to @Meadowfoot_ToPH for characters, story, and art. Thanks to google for flower images.
