THIS PROJECT IS NOT TO OFFEND ANYBODY This project showcases all the things we've lost in the recent years, so bear with me. Alternate Title: End of Xbox 360's Online Store Yeah, I know some of my projects can be nitpicky and be specific to something, but if one user does something, so does this. July 29, 2024 can mark pretty much the final moment of the 7th generation consoles (technically not the entire online thing). Late of last year, Microsoft announced the end of the online store of the Xbox 360, and it is to end somewhere at the middle of 2024. Because of this, as with the rest of the already done consoles, its digital only games would permanently be inaccessible for those who doesn't get it yet. Case in point: All 7th generation console's online market are now completely offline. This completely ends the legacy of what the 7th generation consoles had, and with everything done, it seems no one else cares much more about them. Anything that is exclusive there (along with the rest of the consoles) is very unlikely to see a return at all for modern systems. Although some had some rereleases, the rest never saw a second chance for newer consoles (though I reckon some has backwards compatibility if the physical copies won't immediately surge in prices). That's not mentioning game pass features since some might not be ownable once they take it off there. There is nothing left, really. What's left are online subscriptions and whatnot on the current generations. They can't maintain the 7th gen further, not even the illusive red ring of death. However, you can see how people still like their games more compared to the recent ones, because, really, almost no one is even positive about the recent ones. So, yeah. A big bummer considering how much of an impact of this console had next to the Wii. All of that, I have a question for you: How do you feel about games nowadays?
(Pardon if the red ring of death is positioned incorrectly, it's mostly like that for convenience purposes. Also pardon if I depicted the PS3 inaccurately, since I was confused during the plans of shutdown from 2021) Sorry for having some kind of a sudden return, but the project I was supposed to share was mostly on hiatus, so this'll be one for now. If you guys viewed my project "9-6 Endured", you'll see a note regarding to this, and I essentially thought it already happened prior. I can't bring myself so much to this, but it signals a further end to the 7th generation era of consoles. There is nothing left for them to stay, if only their never rereleased games could cherish more. Because for me, what matters for certain things is their legacy, and if no one out there is to help it stand (which Nintendo doesn't as the Wii U games may go further into unplayability), then future people can't see that era anymore. Since I never got involved in the Xbox 360, there's basically no music for this. For those who have been with that console for years, I hope you guys had a great experience with it, because it did while it lasted. It's pretty much over for it... you can have your condolences now. Credits: Microsoft (Xbox 360 and other platform and medias, including their announcement) @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop (slight inspiration) Other scratchers since I can't think of anything what else is inspired Before I start talking about the back, the Xbox shown in the center is about to be in the "afterlife", showcasing the wings and halo (no pun intended) about to be put on as with the other consoles above it. It also tries to mimic a shopping bag, alluding to the online store. The things further back at the main loss are the last additional consoles (with Stadia), as the PS5 and Xbox Series are the only remaining current consoles (with Switch being attempted to depart for "2", save for the PS4 and Xbox One) with the rest being handheld PCs. Lastly, sorry if I depicted the project like this, since everything else was depicted as if they were a person. This is something more of a makeshift afterlife with fallen devices. #2005 #2017 #Console #Demise #End #Tradegy #Xbox
