Scratch team is about to do something that I don't think anyone likes except weird ai art bros ye their thinking of adding some weird ai art feature,, for whatever reason, I have no clue why they think this is a good idea. why I don't think this is a good idea is cause: Scratch whole thing is basically for being creative. Making an update like that will strip away the creative feeling scratch has. Now I know that scratch is more for coding and sure, maybe some programmers want to have a nice drawing with their game or whatever they are making. But ai art is not real art. And if everyone starts using scratch as a way to get ai drawings to their games people will never learn how to draw things for themselves, making the users of scratch less creative and they will never learn to make their own beautiful art. And I mean, it's not like you need to have the most gorgeous drawing in the whole world, for spaghetti's sake this is SCRATCH its a child friendly coding program for people to start coding and NO ONE is good at anything on their first try on drawing or coding. And how will they ever learn those things if they can just shove a prompt in a machines face and get a "good drawing" as a result? R0blox has done this, and I know we shouldn't compare but has this made their coders more creative? No. It's always used for clickbait and I haven't met a single person who genuinely likes these features. Google has done it, sure it's not ai "art" but what is the result? awful. And yes google is being taken over by LOADS of ai generated images wich isn't good at all. Faceb00k has done it, resulting in everyone's mums and grandmas thinking these images are real and making like beggars thrive. Guess what people will also do? Claim the art as theirs. This already happens enough, and people can get tricked. People don't always have the best intentions. And doing so makes real artist look bad. People WILL start to question if what they see is real or fake art. I'd also advice you, scratch team, to keep your paws away from ai voices too, there are SO MANY voice actors on scratch and letting us make voices with ai will result in ALOT of negativity your way, probably as much as if you'd add a feature for ai art. And don't act like I don't know what you're thinking. Adding a little icon next to the viewer count won't help for pasta, people will still be mad and leave the platform, as if that weren't a problem for you guys already, and creativity the thing that makes Scratch Scratch will still be stripped away.
