It's a new a new day now. My mood has greatly improved. Though I'm not looking forward to speaking with my father. It's not like I really have much of a choice though, so I suppose it has to be done... Now making my way to the throne room, I wonder if I should pick flowers for mothers grave. I mean after all I think she may like it. Getting to the doors the guards yet again ask if I would like them to open the doors. I smile and tell them no. How sweet of them to offer, I'm sure they already know my answer before they ask. It's always the same. I open the doors to my fathers stoic face looking down on me. It's hard not to feel intimidated in front of him especially since he always looks down on me. "Zelda it's time to train today. You are a far ways from mastering the sealing light in you. I expect you to train hard seeing as though it's only a matter of time until Gannon rears his head." he says sternly. "Ok, but I was thinking that I've trained enough I was truly hoping to go to the allied regions.May I instead do that? I mean you said yourself it's only a matter of time before he reawakens, and we could find the sages and get them ready for war. I mean it would only make sense. The knight who wields the sword still has not been found and-" I get cut off "ZELDA, you need to train. There's no telling how strong he'll be this time. He's been resurrected quicker and quicker I can't be too cautious. Trust me I know we are still missing the legendary swordsman, but we have the sealing power, and we need to make that as strong as it can possibly be. You know, you should probably visit head researcher Josha. She knows a lot about your grandmother. And some of the technology of the zonai. I think maybe she could help you a lot." he says his stare unwavering. "Where is she?" I asked. He takes a deep breath and says. "Most likely in fort lookout." he closes his eyes. "That is if she's not taking after Robbie and on some crazy adventure." he sighs. "You should be on your way. You are to go with Link and Sheik." he orders. I just take a deep breath and walk away. It's not that I don't want to go with them it's that I must train. I mean for the love of Hylia I can use it. Isn't that enough for him? It doesn't matter to him how it makes me feel. Or at least that's what I think. Though I do get to learn about the zonai technology. It's not so much that I like that kind of stuff, it just fascinates me. 'm right at the doors when they slam open startling. Me and there I see the woman herself. Josha, she has round red glasses with gold accents. Her hair is done in pigtails to her very far sides and a middle part in a topknot. Her white hair is a nice blend with her traditional sheikh look. She's wearing heels no doubt inspired by Purah. I mean she really has a stunning resemblance to purah in her adult years. She's out of breath. The shocked Link and many other guards behind her on alert. Clearly she was not invited. I can't the expression on my face. She clears her throat "Princess," she says collecting herself and bowing. "Josha..." I say in a disturbed tone. "My dearest apologies for bursting in like this." she says her eyes have a gleam in them. "No, no you've discovered something. Something seeking immediate attention." I guess. I mean judging from her entrance it would make sense. "Ha, leave it to you, you read me like a book." She says laughing a little "Was it that obvious?" She asks grinning big. I simply relax. "Y'know you might wanna join in on this discovery." she offers. "Oh uh is it about the zonai?" I ask "Why of course." she says proudly. "We only find the best of the best, and this is the best." she says. Excitement runs through my every bone. "Cmon," she says walking forward. I walk beside her. "You look like Purah, or at least her pictures, "I say to her. She looks down "Yeah, I get that a lot." She looks at me and puts both her hands into a peace sign near her face. Smiling big her eyes are squinted though behind her big smiley face is lingering pain. She puts her hand down and her smile shrinks. "She was my idol, I miss her but hey I adopted her glasses." she says. "Hey it's funny I know your grandma of course I was like 12 at the time, but." I chuckle a little. " from what little time I got to know her you two probably got along." I say. She closes her eyes. "I knew your mom too, we were friends. She was real compassionate that one. You get those eyes and personality of yours from her." I laugh "So I've heard." We walk down the hall. Silence fills the void and not in a bad way either. A bittersweet feeling consuming the both of us. Josha the quirky genius, and mom the compassionate queen. Friends, how on earth have I not thought of that till now? She opens the doors and presents herself. Father looks down clearly assessing the situation. "Why must you always bust in without invitation? " He asks. "I'm so sorry to disturb you my highness, but it couldn't be helped." She remarks. "You say that every
time, what makes it different now?" he asks. They clearly have a closer connection than just a researcher and king. You can see their friendship clearly. "Don't be so judgy you don't even know what I have to present. Also what happened to that goofy side of you? Did that crown kill it?" She prods. "No, my wife died and now dawns a new era of destruction. Please get on with it I have an important discussion with our allies soon." He states. Josha frowns " You're no fun anymore but as you wish." Their banter raises questions but I know not to ask. "We started to truly analyse the zonai technology. Now we can add the information from this to what we already know." she says. "Ok, but can this help us in terms of war?" Father asks. He may not be impressed but I am we could add this newfound knowledge to make new creations. At least until we find the extents of this technology, there are no limits. "There are no limits yet to what we can do, so really I think the question is what can't we do with this? After all since we haven't yet tried to combine this and the sheikah technology we only have one thing to go off. Grandma's Purah pad." I say. Josha looks at me smirking. "Huh seems you have an incredibly smart daughter Kelson. She's quite right, I hope you know what the Purah pad has for us. Unfortunately, the information on the Purah pad is mostly due to the the draconification of Queen Zelda. Though this could definitely lead to the discovery of other past events combined with the sheikah technology." she says confidently. Father considers this for a bit. "I approve these experiments." he says. "Excellent we'll start working immediately." Josha exclaims. She walks out and I follow shortly after. "This is amazing! I do have a favor to ask of you though." I say. Joshua looks at me "Of course anything for you princess." she says joyfully. "I was hoping you could point me in the right direction of mastering my powers." I ask. "I'm not sure what you mean, why me? I don't possess your powers." she laughs. I laugh a little too, "Well I know that but you did know two people with them." I say. It's weird, I wonder if this is what moms are like. "Oh well yeah then I can help. " she says smiling. "You're a fun kid y'know that?" she asks me. "No I never really thought of myself that way. " I say kinda surprised at her comment. "Well now you know," she says still walking to the entrance of the castle. "If you don't mind I'd like to do something first." I say thinking of those flowers for mom. "Oh yeah whatevs." She replies seeming to be lost in her thoughts. Maybe this is what having a mom is like. It's a weird thing to think about, I mean really. It's not surprising for someone who's never known their mom though. Would it hurt more if I would've known her like Link and his dad? We reach the doors and I put mom's favorite flowers at her grave. Then I get Link and come back to Josha. "Oh I see you were getting Link. " She comments." Not just that, but I am also to be accompanied by Sheik. " I correct. She rolls her eyes "Well excuse me princess." She jokes. "Hush," I tell her smiling. Link is just looking at us confused. We both look at him "Keep up soldier boy," Josha teases. "Yeah your so boring." I say smiling. His face basically said "For the love of Hylia, I can't stand you two!". We walk to the lift and I look at my secret stone. Josha notices it "Huh your secret stone it has such a different glow." she states. "What do you mean?" I ask, "Your mother's was dim, yours is vibrant and it radiates that pure yellow color." she explains. I look down at my necklace and hold it. "It's a reminder of mom." I say, how could this whole day be about her? I don't want to feel like this all day. "I can do a cool thing with it. Wanna see?" I ask Josha who's eyes light up with passion."DO I!" She exclaims. I close my eyes, and cup it in my hands. The stone floats. Josha gasps, I move it to my ferronniere. It then touches the metal and the metal connects itself to it. Then when it's done the secret stone flashes. "Incredible!" she whispers. We make it to the bottom and are walking to the fort when we hear someone scream.
