Lee tried to run but, he wasn't fast enough and got caught by the infected block on Echan's staff. he seems to e able to fight the infection at times. maybe it's a thing all shapeshifters can do, or hes just got something no-one else has
overall, Lavere can easily survive. Her knife seems to react to the virus. she still does the blog though, just without lee.
