Prologue A white and gray she-cat baring yellow fluff on her neck gazed at the stars, ears pinned back. Another cat slowly trotted next to her before sitting down. The other cat bore dark gray and white fur with her head and tail being a lighter shade of gray. “Wolfpaw?” The yellow maned she-cat meowed still looking at the stars solemnly. “I wish we were still kits- we were so close with everyone, Firetail, Embersnake, even Sunpaw and Birdpaw,” Wolfpaw whispered, staring at her sister. Eaglepaw had never had the thought until her sister mentioned it to her. Did she even miss those days? Was she too focused on the future and her drive to one day become leader? “I don’t know Wolfpaw, I simply don't know,” “Things will get better right!?” Wolfpaw jumped in half panicing for a second. “There's no need to worry Wolfpaw I’ll always have your back,” The white she-cat laughed. She was happy to bring that spark back into her sister. Eaglepaw stared back at the stars her tail flicking she felt like something was wrong and something bad would happen and soon.
