Passage of Time (155 words) Looking out into the ocean for the first time since Bri passed, it was only then that I found peace. Feeling the breeze tingled my senses, my nose smelling the fresh salts. My feet wading through the sand dunes. Seeing the vast blueness of the world. I wonder what Bri felt when she was just yards away two summers ago, laughing in the water, not knowing what was to come. Bri was strong. The strongest girl I knew and have yet to find someone stronger. But they say the ocean holds insane power, power no one can harness no matter how much they try. Brianna didn’t even want to try. She didn't want to. She had always told me: things would be all right if we are together. I hope I can find true peace in the time I have. For now, I think I can feel her presence, and ... I feel all right.
