Flying and time traveling *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+ After breakfast, me and Coral start walking to flying. When we get there, I feel a rush of dread. (I'm going to be so high up... What if I fall? I could break my neck!) I am very scared of heights. I find Emily. "Hi Emily." I say, approaching her as Coral goes over to where the brooms lay. "Oh, hi Jacqueline. Are you excited for flying? I can't wait to get up in the air! I'm hoping to get on the Slytherin quidditch team!" Emily is talking too fast for me to get one word in. Then she asks "what about you? Aren't you excited for flying class?" "Um... Not really." I say, looking away. "Why? What's wrong? Don't you want to be up in the air, feeling the breeze on your face, and free of gravity are you soar up into the clouds." I get more and more queasy and dizzy as she describes flying."Um... Okay don't tell anyone, but I'm like really scared of heights..." I say, looking away. "Oh... Okay, I'm sorry." Emily says and we take a place next to a broom right next to each other. "It's okay." I say. "Good morning first years" Madam Hooch says and starts the lesson. Then... "Up!" The whole class shouts. "Up!" Emily says and it flys straight up into her hand. I try. "Up!" I doesn't even move. "Up. Up. Up! Up?" It's still not moving except for rising a millimeter in the air and the falling back down. "How did you do it?" I ask Emily and she shrugs. I try it again. "Up!" And it does fly up, but it almost smacks me in the face and knocks my glasses off. I do it once more. "Up!" And it finally goes up into my hand. (Yes!) Then we try to fly. I kick off and and rise up into the air. I have a death grip on the broom. My knuckles are turning white. But when we land I accidentally roll off and hit my head a little. Ow. My head is throbbing. My glasses got knocked off a bit and I quickly grab them and put them on. Emily runs over and helps me up. "Are you okay?" She asks. "Yeah, I'm fine." I say and a boy with dark black hair and brown eyes in a Slytherin robe comes over and starts teasing me about what just happened. "Be quiet McDennith, or I'll punch you. Nobody teases my friends and gets away with it." Emily says. That shuts him up. He scowls and walks away. Then after class I check my timetable. "We have a one hour break, what do you want to do?" I ask Emily and she pulls me into an alcove. She glances around. She pulls a golden circular item that I have only read about. "Why do you have a time turner?" I ask her. "I found it laying on the ground. And I wanted to see what things are like in the future." "Woah, woah, woah, slow down. If you are going to do something rash, leave me out of it! I read about time turners and the effects of one can be disasterus!" "Don't worry we'll be fine." Emily says and grabs my hand and puts it onto the timer turner and we disappear. Soon we relive the whole sorting ceremony and I see Havi. Then Emily turns it and we go back to our time. When we get back, I realize that the time turner is gone. "What the what just happened?!?" I ask Emily and pull away from her. "We went to Havi's time! McGonagall's headmistress? What happened to Dumbledore?" Emily says. And then we hear a boom and we turn around slowly.
