She was built in 2183, making her still a child in 2195, age-wise. However, the main story is set hundreds of thousands of years in the future, making her several hundred thousand years old. E.M.P.A.T.H. is an acronym, but the main story does not tell the player what it is. E.M.P.A.T.H. currently lives in Epsilon Laboratories, a science facility that was abandoned in 2195 after a certain incident destroyed almost everyone inside. Upon discovering E.M.P.A.T.H, the player revives her, as she was deactivated. Upon being woken up, E.M.P.A.T.H. promises to help the player escape after they find out what happened to the facility.
