River and Darkness ————————— River the vaporeon was walking along the shore of a beach. She heard a rustle and turned around. There, a few meters behind her, was an umbreon! Collecting food from River’s territory! “Get out!” River hissed. The Umbreon looked up. “This is territory for all of us,” He said, calmly. “No! I have this part of land so I don’t starve in the winter when all the ice is frozen!” River hissed. The Umbreon didn’t seem to care. “I’m Darkness. What’s your name?” River flinched. She thought of something. “River. And, I legally own this territory. You wouldn’t break a law, would you?” She said. “We have no laws. We are Pokémon.” Darkness said, “Anyways, I have many Pokémon counting on me. Best be off, now.” Darkness ran into the shadows. Ugh, River thought, I’ll catch Darkness! … Darkness crept behind a bush. “H-here.” He said. He dropped his cool attitude. When ever he dealed with his pack, he had to act that way. “Measly.” A larger shadow said. “Kick him out!” All that Darkness remembered was a flash of red. Then more red. … Darkness stumbled onto River’s so-called “territory” again. Darkness was badly hurt. “Hey!!” River hissed, ‘What are yo-“ She saw Darkness. He was badly hurt. “Please. Help me.” Darkness wheezed. River felt sympathy. She nodded. As she was healing him, she asked, “How did this happen?” “It happened when I didn’t bring enough food.” Darkness said, his voice breaking. “But,” Darkness continued, “My satchel was full!” River nodded. She’d let Drakness stay, for now at least. …. Darkness and River became great friends. Sadly, Darkness had lost a leg from his injuries. Still, he was strong and energetic, though. River felt a pulse. She nodded and she and Darkness ran into the den. …. “Bet you cannot catch me!” “Can, to!” River watched her and Darkness’ babies play fight. They were Stream, Crack, and Flare. … Eventually, River and Darkness grew old. Stream, Crack, and Flare had children. Even when Darkness and River passed, they were remembered.
