Description

Ok, so I really grew to hate this game while I was making it. By the time it was done, I was properly sick of it. As a result the last bits were kind of rushed, and I was just happy to not have to look at it anymore. My opinion of Ike V has changed though, in recent years. Looking back, it is nowhere near the bad game I thought it was. In fact, it's among my best. Top three, at least! It's got issues, yeah, but it's fun! It's the biggest game I've made (between this and Red Ship) with an open world and nonlinear progression and a story and everything! So I hope you enjoy this game which I have grown to love. And maybe it can serve as a lesson to us all, to push on even when we think it may not be worth it. Because it just as likely will be. Old notes (pre-2023) The share date is wrong. Update 4/24/2022: Fixed some bugs with the game, and made it so the player hitbox is hidden again. Update 09/25/2017: changed most of the vector sprites to bitmap to attempt to combat lag a bit. Phew. Here it is. Ike V. The game I announced almost two years ago. It should've been done a few months after that. But here it is, after one heck of an unpleasant development. It's not the best game I've made, but it works (mostly), and I hope you like it. Even if you don't like it, I'm sure some of you who design games can sympathize with my lack of motivation to complete something I felt needed to be done. I hope everyone can get something out of this game, but if not, I'm happy just to get the burden off my back. Enjoy Ike V. Anyway, those are the notes, and here are the credits. This game wouldn't exist without my dad. He helped me power through when I wouldn't have built anything otherwise. The music is from a bunch of different games which I don't feel like specifying. I didn't make any of it. I did program the thing, for what it's worth, and I designed the graphics.
