Name: Eldrin Gender: Male Specie: Asian Short-Clawed Otter Age: 27 as of 2024 (He is a demi-god, so he can live until the heat death of the universe) Born Garbander 23rd, 2642 AR (After Rebirth) This is October 23rd, 1997 on Human terms) Eldrin was an average otter living in a body of water and when he was 4 years old in 2001 (Otters live 10-15 years) He was looking for a rock to hold onto as that's something otters do. He went to a discreet and deep area and a particularly shiny and goldish rock with specific patterns etched onto it caught his attention. He went to reach for the rock, not knowing it would completely alter his life. He gets closer to it, he feels an aura. He grabs the rock and it starts to transfer those symbols onto his arm and he panics trying to let go of the rock, but it stays on his hand until it has completed what it was trying to do. That's when Eldrin feels weird, he's... truly aware of everything instead of just conscious! He swims back to land and observes his new found ability and the rock he had picked up. Looking at himself wondering about himself. "What is this? How did this rock do that to me?" He'd ask to himself Little does he know, that rock is really a finger bone of an ancient, celestial being. A god of sorts who "died" a long time ago who's powers had been passed to this otter. The soul of the being was really dormant and resides within Eldrin and of which is getting to guided by the celestial being to being a demi-god. Which when Eldrin knows everything there is to know about his role in this, the being will cease to exist advancing Eldrin onto his path to becoming a literal god. Most gods usually die once the universe dies, but some sooner. He will be tasked with protecting the balance of nature and acting as a guardian of the river, forest, and ethereal realms. Eldrin is still not so sure about taking this role, he was just once living a normal life and all of a sudden having the same consciousness as a human and eventually destined to beyond the knowledge of a human is definitely gonna be a lot for him to handle. Along with being a demi-god at the current moment. He is confident, yet hesitant and nervous. His journey must persist no matter what.
