Welcome to Super Mario Shooter! Everything you need to know is in the tutorial. Press full screen for maximum enjoyment! If you get the high score, you will be immortalized into the Cloud Data Log. Also, let me know of any bugs you encounter so I can fix them as soon as possible! Currently, this is a demo to get started, but more will come, and I want to know what you want to see in the future! Here's what I have planned so far: -a team to help design and program (if you're interested, let me know!) -Scrolling -Multiple worlds -Different guns for different levels (e.g. level 1 will have just a handgun, rocket launchers, grenades, a first person sniper level...) -a smaller ratio (Mario and the stage will be smaller in future levels) -a story line -a variety of enemies -interactive blocks (holes in the ground, falling blocks) -possible multiplayer game where one person stars as Mario and the other players become different colored Lakitus (that dude that throws spiky red shell things at you.) -powerups (infinite ammo, invincibility) -Mario's arm is a separate sprite from his body leading to point-and-shoot and moving and shooting (NOTE: this is only an idea) -More complex sprites and scripts (more costumes, more movement) YOU LOOKED AT THE DESCRIPTION!!!! Now i get to tell you some tips for survival. And how to play the game. You don't have to play the tutorial now! (I would, though. It has its perks.) Eh, controls: -F to "F"ire your gun -A to switch weapons (I don't have one for this) -D to reloa"D" (okay, so that was a stretch) -Left and Right Arrow Keys to move left and right -Up arrow to jump (you can move faster that way, but it's riskier.) Tips: -For guns --Shotguns are normally a 1 hit KO --The AK-47 doesn't always hit, unless you tap it once, not hold it down. --The handgun always hits --so.... ---Start off using the handgun. It'll only take a few shots to kill a goomba ---you can use the AK at first just for fun, but it might be helpful later ---the shotgun will become your best friend after about 10 points. -Surviving --when the goombas start to come more often, take cover on top of the blocks in the corner but under the set of two brick blocks. Goombas don't spawn there. What you should look for in the sorta near future: -A project testing the First Person Sniper -A project testing grenades Credits and stuff: For starters, I didn't come up with the idea of Mario. That credit goes to Nintendo, of course. I remade everything pixel by pixel, so I didn't technically use any images, but they're out there somewhere. The sprites that have Mario holding the gun are custom made by me, however. The sounds came from various artists throughout the internet. I cannot find any sources for these pieces, though.
-+UPDATE+- 7-11-13 CLOUD HIGH SCORES WORK!!! I made a rather stupid mistake in my scripting. However, I've fixed it, and the high score has been set back to zero... Who will take the crown of victory? -+UPDATE+- 7-10-13 Making a sniper game, un-mario related, but it will come into effect as a world in the future game. -+UPDATE+- 7-6-13 Working on a sniper beta test. -+UPDATE+- 6-27-13 Okay. New stuff. Haven't made any big changes to the project in a long while BECAUSE I'm working on a world maker and new physics and stuff for that. You can expect to see: -Angled shooting -3 new worlds (that you can make yourself!) -More enemies! (Bloopers, koopas [maybe], and more goombas [stompable]) -interactive blocks (it's a pain in the butt to make 165 separate clones and not make them lag.) -no new guns, yet. (expect them in the future.) -Since you read this far, a sniper minigame is underway. Check out my point-and-shoot demo here! The point and shoot demo is where the complex factors will be added in. Check it out! -+UPDATE+- 6-18-13 Due to my bug fixing expedition, bullets move slightly slower (to hit the goombas) and handgun ricochets have been disabled. -+UPDATE+- 6-12-13 Since this has gone up another 100 views (over 300! woo!), I added in another fun modification: Handgun bullets bounce randomly. NOTE: This is extremely glitchy. Don't depend on the ricochets to kill goombas. -+UPDATE+- 6-11-13 Bullets travel a lot faster for added realism and faster shooting (kinda). Point-and-shoot demo (will be implemented into the full version) is under construction!
