Space for parallax. (For their story I KIND OF changed species a bit sorry) Celkalon is a large orb of water, the size of a planet, held together by gravity towards the Core, a sphere filled with tunnels. These tunnels spew out derelict* and other items lost to water, most frequently objects that are loved, missed, and remembered. This includes living creatures, such as pet fish. Celkalon's existence relies on the turning of water; if the water were to lay still, it would eventually freeze. It requires movement to stay warm and habitable. What it is that turns these waters is reborn souls; If an item spewed from the Core has enough sentiment attached to it, it's 'soul' - the love that was given to it while it was owned on Earth (or any Earth-adjacent planets) will split from the item, and become lost within the waters of the Celkalon. Naturally, these souls will try to find a body - that is what they are most used to, as they were once a physical entity. Not all souls will align with their body - the soul of someone's favourite hat, swept into the sea by a strong wind, may find itself attached to a shipwreck from the 1600s - and the soul of that ship may find itself building it's form around that hat. Once the soul finds entities that can ground it into a body, it becomes reborn - alive again, and able to swim freely around the Celkalon. Importantly, the souls are attached to their forms, and rely on them to be able to move (and thus, move the water to keep the Celkalon alive). But they are not _only_ their objects. The shipwreck soul mentioned before may be bound to a hat, but they are still a part of the water - forever attached to the Celkalon, they form themselves _around_ their objects. (see inside backdrop for picture). Generally, reborn souls will also keep their goals. Floating device souls tend to stay at the surface, ship souls will explore the Celkalon, submarine souls will traverse around low levels, camera souls look for beauty in the world, and toys will spend the rest of their (pretty much immortal lives) playing. Which is what Dasani Poolwater is. The soul of a toy shark attached to a bandaid, pieces of string which make up their eyes and blush, floating devices around their neck and tail, and parts of faux sand blocks fused into the shape of eyebrows, paws, and a tail-end - naturally taking the form of a shark tail. //Did I make an entire world from a DTA shark named off a water brand.
