I needed a wake up call. And God knew. It was exactly 1 year ago this week when for KING + COUNTRY released What Are We Waiting For? I had been at summer camp that week, and honestly, it was the best week of my life by far. But the truth was that I needed to ask a question in my life, and this song, released at the right time for me, provided that question. Am I willing to go to the ends of the earth in order to follow Christ? And if God had called me to something, what would I do? I feared my future, not knowing what was ahead. Slowly, God began to show me how He is in control of everything. Jeremiah 28:11 says that God knows the plans He has for us, and they are to strengthen us. But more importantly, in Isaiah 45:7, God says “I form light and create darkness.” This just goes to show how little control we have on our lives. So if all this is true, what do we have to be scared of? And finally, the most important question you could ever ask in your life… What are you waiting for?
